# Buying an NFT on Bit5

There are two ways to buy an NFT on Bit5. You can purchase an item listed for sale by paying the asking price.

Alternatively, you can place a bid on items. If the NFT owner accepts your bid, the transfer will take place. You can place bids on items whether they are listed for sale or not.
